Pickup Lao - Cambodian border - Khone Papheng Fall - 4000 Islands
Welcome on arrival at the border Laos and Cambodia, then we will transfer to 4000 Islands.
On the way we will stop at Khone Phapheng waterfalls – one of the biggest attractions of the 4000 islands with a length of almost 10km. Thanks to its outstanding beauty, the locals called these falls as the jewel of the Mekong.
Take a boat trip to Don Khon, the most interesting island in Si Phan Don. Check in at your hotel and enjoy the remainder of day free at your leisure. Meals on your own and overnight at the hotel.
4000 Islands - Biking Day (B)
After your breakfast, you will ride a bicycle to visit Don Det and Don Khon – where you could explore the ruins of French railway tracks and the beautiful Liphi Waterfall. Enjoy the tranquil atmosphere in the islands and take awesome photos of the local life and natural beauty.
Take a boat along the Mekong River to see the Irrawaddy dolphins (you can see them if you are lucky enough!).
In the afternoon, you will turn back to your hotel for relaxing. Meals on your own and enjoy the night at the hotel.
4000 Islands - Wat Phou - Bolaven (B)
This morning, we will take a boat back to the mainland. Afterwards, visit Vat Phou Temple – one of the oldest archaeological sites in Laos and also the World Heritage Site ò the country. For those who are interested in art and history, this temple is an ideal place to explore.
Then we drive to Tadlo, through the Bolaven Plateau, covering parts of the Salavan, Attapeu and Sekong provinces. It is known as not only full of fertile farmlands specializing in coffee, tea, cardamom and fruit but also the common home of many particular ethnic groups: Laven, Alak, Katou, Ta-Oy, Houne, Ngai and Suk.
Meals on your own and spend overnight at the hotel.
Bolaven Plateau Sightseeing (B, L)
In the morning, you can visit coffee plantation, to experience of Lao coffee then continue to ethnic village Ban A Luck, Ban Kok Poung and Ban Kieng Tung Lae, to see the spirit hall of the village, their traditional and cultural. Especially, you will have chance to see the people in their daily lives. Return to the hotel in the afternoon and enjoy meals on your own. Overnight at the hotel.
Bolaven Tad Lo -Pak Song – Tad Fan-Tad Yeuang Pakse - Fly to Vientiane (B)
After breakfast, we will continue our journey to Sinouk coffee then to Paksong for visiting the most beautiful waterfalls in the region: Tad Yeuang and Tad Fane. The falls are located deeply in the lush forest of Phonsavan.
Then we will transfer to the airport for a flight to Pakse. Welcome on arrival and transfer to the hotel for checking in. You will have free time to explore the city on your own. Enjoy the night at the hotel.
Vientiane City Tour - Vang Vieng (B)
Today, you will spend time to explore the capital city of Laos. In your Vientiane tour, you will visit:
Morning Market: in Vientiane is called Talat Sao and is one of the must visit places when visiting Laos. This morning market is located at the eastern corner of Lane Xang and Khu Vieng Roads in the heart of Vientiane. It opens at 7:00 in the morning and stays open till around 4:00pm daily and is full of locals and tourist alike.
Wat Sisaket: which is famous for not only its cloister wall storing thousands of tiny Buddha images but also its beautiful architecture and layout with history dated back to 1818.
Wat Ho Phra Keo: which built in 1565 is one of the most impressive and interesting temples in Vientiane. It previously housed the famous Emerald Buddha image.
Pha That Luang (built 1566, reconstructed 1930). This is the most important Laotian religious and national monument. The temple has a unique architecture reflecting Lao culture and identity, becoming a symbol of Lao nationalism.
Patuxai: this victory monument built in 1957 and is the most prominent landmark in the city. The architecture of the monument was inspired by the architecture of Triumph in Paris and combined with typical Lao motifs. From the top of the monument, you can see an excellent panoramic view of the city.
In the afternoon, take the road to Vang Vieng (around 3 hours drive) and enjoy your leisure time at night. Overnight at the hotel.
Vang Vieng Ziplining and Kayaking (B)
Breakfast at hotel then we will explore amazing adventure in Vang Vieng by doing zipline through the limestone mountains and green jungle.
We will do the kayak down on the song river to Blue Lagoon where is available for swimming and jumping. We return to hotel in the late afternoon.
Meals on your own and overnight at the hotel.
Vang Vieng Sightseeing (B)
We will explore the beautiful green and unspoiled sceneries of the town. In Vang Vieng, we will take a short boat cruise to visit the cave of Tham Jang, which was used as a bunker during the Chinese invasion. We continue visiting the organic farm to experience how Lao agriculture is. There would be still 2 more caves that we should visit such as Water Cave and Elephant cave. Transfer to your hotel in Vang Vieng for a free relaxing night.
Vang Vieng - Luang Prabang (B)
Today we can enjoy the tranquil town before leaving. We will soon move northward along the famous and spectacular highway.
Make a stop at Kasi, the famous cultivation of local fruits. We will continue the route to Luang Prabang, the ancient capital of the kingdom of Lane Xang and declared World Heritage by UNESCO for its beautiful temples.
Check in at your hotel and enjoy the night.
Luang Prabang - Kuang Sii Falls - Temples (B, L)
Start a beautiful day with a visit to the morning market- Phousi Market– which is considered the biggest market in Luang Prabang. Here, you will get into local way of life as they flock together to buy and sell goods. Don’t miss out on the chance to sample delicious Lao food.
Make your trip to Kuang Si Waterfalls – a stunning cluster of waterfalls. On the way, you will pass green rice fields and beautiful small villages dotted along the road. Make a stop at some villages before having lunch at a nice restaurant overlooking the falls. Take a fresh swim to refresh yourself in many basins.
Head back to Luang Prabang to explore the old city with numerous ancient temples including Wat Xieng Thong, perhaps the most photographed temple in LuangPrabang, and Wat Sene – one of the most beautiful temples the town.
In the late afternoon, set off your trial with a visit to the famous Phousi Mountain and enjoy stunning sunset over the city. On the way back to the hotel, make a photo stop at H’mong Night Market to admire various Lao-style souvenirs displayed on stalls.
Dinner on your own and overnight at the hotel.
Cycling to Khmu Village (B, L)
In the morning, we will take a short walk (15 minutes) to bicycle rental shop to choose a suitable one, then cross the Mekong River via a ferry and start our cycling trip on dirt roads to Khmu village (about 7 km). On the way, you will have chance to see rustic villages with wooden houses.
Arriving at a Khmu family, if interested, you can join the hosts to cook some Lao food. The guide will introduce you some traditions of Khmu people, one of three biggest groups in Laos.
In the afternoon, we cycle back the bank of Mekong River and visit Wat Long Khun, used to serve as a royal retreat center for spiritual revitalization. The temple is attractively sited on a 1.5 hectare flat area at the top of a long stairway. After that, visit Wat Tham Xieng Maen in a 100m-deep limestone cave called Tham Sakkarin Savannakuha, a little northwest of Wat Long Khun.
Cross the Mekong by ferry and cycle back your hotel. Dinner on your own and spend overnight at the hotel.
Luang Prabang - Departure (B)
You are free at leisure until our driver takes you to the airport for your departure flight. Meals on your own.
